Organizations can become too close to their own work to see new possibilities. Familiarity with their products, services, systems, and ways of working can make it difficult to challenge assumptions, spot opportunities, and bring fresh thinking to the problems that matter.

Solution

Our Design Audit brings an outside, multidisciplinary perspective to the things organizations create. We work with organizations across the profit, nonprofit, and government sectors, using design tools including Design Thinking, The Framework of Intention™, and principles from Nature to rethink and improve experiences. From a banking app to a leadership curriculum to an infographic for a data organization, we help organizations make what they create more useful, engaging, and impactful.

Traction

The Design Audit has been applied across profit, nonprofit, and government organizations with engagements including National Bureau 0f Statistics, Wema Bank and SHOFCO. We are now developing the Design Audit into a repeatable venture that brings Akanka’s design and innovation capabilities to organizations across Africa and beyond.
