What is ‘How to be Confident’?
How to Be Confident is a 2.5 hour class by The School of Life which takes place regularly in our virtual classroom over Zoom. It is one of 12 classes around our 4 core themes: Love, Work, Self and Culture. Further information on how to connect to the class will be made available once you have purchased a ticket.
Why should I attend?
Many people struggle with confidence in their personal and professional lives. We may lack confidence in sharing our ideas, making new connections or asking for what we want.
There is a common misconception around confidence being an in-born personality trait – as people, we are either confident or not. On the contrary, at The School of Life we strongly believe that confidence is a skill that can be practised and learned. This class is for anyone who wants to build confidence in some area of life.
What will I learn?
How to Be Confident teaches:
How to overcome Impostor Syndrome
How to understand and overcome shyness
How to conduct personal and private negotiations with confidence and poise
To have courage and confidence in our own agency – that is, the ability to make important changes in our lives
The format of this class is highly interactive and involves a combination of teaching, group discussion and individual reflection. The facilitators of the class aim to create a confidential space where all participants are welcome to contribute freely and comfortably. If you have any questions about the format of the class please get in touch at customerservice@theschooloflife.com.
