Nurture Your Mind, Body, & Soul

  • Mindful Eating

Eating mindfully can lead to positive and lasting changes; it teaches us to savor every bite and helps develop a healthy relationship with food. According to the  Center for Mindful Eating “Mindful eating has an intent that at the end of the meal the person will feel physically better after eating than before.” In this experiential session, we’ll treat you to a healthy ethnic meal at the Sanctuary of Nature and teach you how to develop your mindfulness by slowing down to eat mindfully. Two people max, so it's a perfect session for a date. Main Course: Starch and Banga Fruit: Watermelon, Pineapple, Papaya Dessert: Tigernut Smoothie, Beetroot & Banana Smoothie - The Ezeks Twins

  • Deep work

"Deep work challenges people to regularly accomplish difficult and meaningful tasks. It essentially provides a framework for accessing and extending productive flow states – where we produce our best work. When we achieve something valuable, we feel an intense sense of happiness, purpose, and satisfaction." In this experiential session, we’ll provide a conducive space for you to do deep work and teach you how to develop your mindfulness and reach a highly productive flow state with techniques like the Pomodoro method. - The Ezeks Twins

Stopping and consciously engaging our senses when out hiking not only calms and grounds us—relaxing both mind and body—but it also deepens our connection to the natural world. In this experiential session, we’ll hike the neighboring hill and teach you how to develop your mindfulness by slowing down to focus on your breath, engaging all your senses, meditating, and being present. - The Ezeks Twins

In this experiential session, you'll learn the essentials of gardening such as propagating, pruning, mulching, and repotting. • Mindful Reflection

Mindful reflection allows one to reflect without judgment but with curiosity and openness to our experiences, thoughts, feelings, and actions. Do I live up to my value system? If not, why not? If so, what allowed me to do this? Do I surround myself with people who uplift me and my values? If not, what holds me back? If so, how do I express my gratitude to the people within those relationships? These are examples of illuminating questions we get to ask when we engage in moments of reflection. In this experiential session, we’ll teach you how to engage in mindful reflection, and share with you questions to ask as you spend time reflecting. - The Ezeks Twins

  • Garden Meditation

Spending time in nature has healing and restorative power. Being outdoors increases well-being, helps alleviate stress and anxiety, promotes creativity, assists with recovery from mental fatigue, helps restore attention, boosts the brain’s ability to think, and engages the senses. In this experiential session, we’ll spend time in the Jacuzebo (Jacuzzi and Gazebo) and teach you how to develop your mindfulness by slowing down to focus on your breath, engaging all your senses, meditating, and being present as you bask in the garden surrounded by plants, birds, and the occasional butterflies. - The Ezeks Twins

  • The Focus Game

Being focused on one thing for a certain period allows you to create a better quality of work, get more work done quicker, and let your creative ideas flow easier. However, due to our electronic devices, many of us struggle to focus on one thing for a sustained period of time. In this mindfulness session, you will learn to improve your focus, be more attentive, and improve your concentration by making you count and describe the elements within different artwork at the Sanctuary. -  The Ezeks Twins

  • Bird Watching

Watching birds and their behavior may contribute to feelings of relaxation, which in turn leads to reduced stress and improved mental health. Simply being able to see birds, and spending more time in nature, has been shown to lower the risk of anxiety, stress and depression. In this experiential session, we’ll go birdwatching at the studio and teach you how to develop your mindfulness by slowing down to observe the different birds that visit the garden, engaging your eyes with their diverse colors, and your eyes with their melodious sounds. - The Ezeks Twins

  • Cat Petting

Petting cats is physically and mentally good for you. Petting or playing with your cat can release all the right chemicals in the brain. There is also evidence that a cat’s purr can help lower blood pressure and relax the nervous system. If you’re in an anxious state or simply need to relax and connect with cute cuddly cats, book a cat petting session where we teach you the best way to pet cats, the story of cats across history, and life lessons you can learn from observing cats. - The Ezeks Twins
